Beginning of Year NWEA

Parents,

All students will be taking their NWEA test at some point next week. NWEA is a computer-adaptive assessment that measures student achievement and academic growth in areas such as math, reading, language, and science. The test adjusts the difficulty of questions based on each student’s responses, is untimed, and is typically given 2–3 times throughout the school year.

If your child attended SFE, this assessment is nothing new to them! Please help us make sure students are ready to do their best by:

• Sending a pair of wired headphones or earbuds to school with your child.
• Making sure their Chromebook is charged at home each evening.
• Reminding them to bring their Chromebook to school every day.
