6th Grade Parent Orientation & Dress Code Reminder

Hello 6th Grade Parents,

In case you were unable to attend the 6th Grade Parent Orientation, I have attached the handout that was reviewed during the meeting, along with a copy of the student dress code policy. Please note that, according to the dress code, students' hair color must be a natural color. It was mentioned during the 6th Grade Parent Orientation that 6th grade students would not be dressing out for P.E. I'd like to provide a little more clarification from our Athletic Director, Coach Bennett.
Students who plan to participate in junior high athletics in the future will be expected to dress out for P.E. so they can begin learning the routines and expectations of the athletic program. Students who do not plan to participate in junior high athletics will not be required to dress out. Students will have a two week grace period at the beginning of the school year to decide whether they would like to remain in P.E. or participate in athletics. After that decision is made, it will remain in place for the rest of their junior high years. Students who choose P.E. will stay in P.E. through junior high, while students who choose athletics will train as junior high athletes for the remainder of their time in the program.
