Costumes

Posted Date: 9/10/25 (11:40 AM)

Dear Parents,
I know we are still about seven weeks away from our Halloween Costume Parade, but I wanted to give everyone plenty of time to prepare. Below are our costume guidelines to help make sure the event is safe, fun, and enjoyable for all students.  Please let me know if you have any questions.

Halloween Costume Guidelines

We will celebrate Halloween on Friday, 10-31-2025. Students may wear costumes to school.  Below are costume guidelines:

  • Costumes must meet dress code guidelines. They cannot be too short or revealing.

  • Costumes must be comfortable and allow students to sit in class and not impede learning.

  • Students may have props, but items that look like any type of weapon will not be allowed.  Props must not be large or distracting.

  • Face paint, hair paint and other skin decoration will be allowed, but must not be permanent.

The principal has the final say in what is appropriate.  If you have questions, see Mrs. McCown prior to Halloween to get approval.  Students who are not dressed appropriately will be asked to change.

Halloween is a “Candy Day” according to Federal Guidelines, students may be given foods of minimal nutritional value.

Halloween Parade will be at 8:30 A.M. on October 31st in the gym.  Parents are welcome to attend and encouraged to arrive between 8:00-8:25 A.M..
